New SATs Maths Papers
Since 2016, the Year 6 students have been using the new test format. The format for 2016 – 2019 maths past SATs papers is consistent with the new national curriculum. Highly recommend these papers for maths revision.
Be careful when using the old SATs papers. Though the test papers prior to 2016 are good revision materials, the format is different.
Children doing SATs in 2022 will have to use the 2019 test papers as their latest revision papers as there are no 2020 and 2021 SATs papers due to the cancellations.
Some schools provide revision materials for their students and take their students through them.
If you feel the need to do more in maths, these papers will help you.
Why SATs at Year 6?
Schools and teachers use the results to identify students’ progress in English, Maths and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar).
These tests are indicators of how much students are able to master at Year 6 level. And also gives parents and secondary schools a better idea about students learning at primary schools.
So, it is an important test.
2022 SATs Results
SATs results come out in July every year.
Headteachers often have access to them before national rankings are done. See the Department for Education website for the Schools League Table for more information.
